Ari Melber got his hands on some exclusive tapes of a conversation Ted Cruz had with Fox's Maria Bartiromo on November 7, 2020. In the conversation, Cruz gave some sound legal advice regarding the recently held elections and The Big Lie that was being circulated regarding it:

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) was recorded in a call with Fox News and Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo urging her to stick to the facts in her coverage of the 2020 election.

"It can't just be, you know somebody tweeted this. It's got to be demonstrable facts that can be laid out with evidence because that's what a court of law is gonna look to, not just an allegation but actual facts," Cruz said in the tape that was given exclusively to MSNBC's Ari Melber on Thursday.

But then everyone ignored what was said and went along with The Big Lie, even though they knew it was just so much bullshit.

Bartiromo and the rest of Fox kept spreading The Big Lie every chance they got. That was a decision that has already cost the faux news network $787.5 million in just one lawsuit with more on the way.

Meanwhile, Cruz, in his typical spineless fashion also ignored his own words and went along with The Big Lie. He argued that they (the Republicans) needed to give consideration to the obvious false allegations of voter fraud. Trump and the Republicans lost every single lawsuit as well as many elections that they might have won otherwise.

Sadly, there are still way too many people that still believe this crap and probably always will.
