Donald Trump isn't taking the news very well that Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed a former war crimes prosecutor as special counsel to oversee investigations into the former President. Jack Smith, a career prosecutor with a very impressive resumé, will look into Trump's alleged mishandling of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago, and his role leading up to the January 6th insurrection. The "law and order" ex-president said that he "won't partake" in the investigation, as if he has a choice.

"I have been going through this for six years — for six years I have been going through this, and I am not going to go through it anymore," Trump told Fox News. "And I hope the Republicans have the courage to fight this."

I hate to correct the stable genius, but it has not been six years since he incited the attack on our Capitol, and it has not been six years since the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago to retrieve classified documents that the one-term President stole from the country he professes to love. Hillary Clinton was investigated for 30 years, so he needs to buckle up. It's going to be quite a ride.

Lumpy then took to Truth Social to scream into the void at his failing platform.

"Here we go again! I thought that the Unselect Committee on January 6th was a dead issue, especially with the record setting loss off Liz Chaney [SIC] in the Great State of Wyoming, and likewise felt that the document hoax case, after reviewing the Clinton Socks Case & the Presidential Record Act, was dead, or at least dying fast," he said. "The Democrat Department of "Justice" had nothing, except Trump haters, so they just appointed a Special Prosecutor to go after me further. Disgraceful!"

He just admitted that he thought once Cheney was defeated, that the investigation would end. Of course, Trump is nervous. Jack Smith presides before a war crimes court in The Hague. This isn't Rudy Giuliani, who held a press conference at an industrial lot between a crematorium and a dildo shop after booking the presser at the Four Seasons Total Landscaping. No, this is a legit prosecutor with years of experience doing the opposite of whatever the hell Giuliani was doing.

Trump gave a statement at around 8:30 p.m. in which he regurgitated the same lies that we've heard ad nauseam, and he went off on tangents such as the issues at our Southern border, and that has nothing to do with Jack Smith being appointed as special counsel to oversee investigations into the former President's alleged crimes. Trump claimed that he has been proven to be "one of the most honest and innocent people ever in our country." CSPAN cut him off after he started ranting about Afghanistan and Chicago.
