Manafort Sentenced: Pardon Useless As Manhattan DA Now Charging

Paul Manafort gets another 47 months in another disappointing sentence, but the Manhattan DA is now pressing charges, too. Trump cannot pardon those.

The result is disappointing for those who expected Amy Berman Jackson to give Paul Manafort ten years. And the post-sentencing talk was all about a pardon until this, clearly a response to the court:

Uh oh. No pardon possible for these charges.
